Pescoluse
The beach “Pescoluse” which is part of the town Salve, is one of the most known and appreciated beaches of south Salento thanks to its crystal clear water, its dunes and its sand. “Pescoluse” is also known with the name of “Maldives of Salento” thanks to the beauty of its beaches. It rises in a privileged position on the Ionian coast, 12 km north of Santa Maria di Leuca and 35 km south of Gallipoli. It is characterized by a typical hinterland with “pajare” (rural houses), stone walls and archeological sites from the Messapian age. Pescoluse is the ideal destination for families and beach lovers.
Pescoluse is with no doubt the most beautiful beach of the Salento area. It is large, with white and thin sand and flowered dunes. The backdrop is all sandy and degrading for many metres. At the entrance of the beach, in the core of Pescoluse, there is a large square with parking and many public services. Going north, out of the urban area, you will find the area between Pescoluse and Torre Pali well know with name of “Maldives of Salento” with the most spectacular beaches and big bath establishments.
