Torre Pali
Torre Pali is an old fishermen village characterized by the ruins of its tower which rise from the sea water. The tower was originally connected to the land by a bridge but it is now completely surrounded by the water. In front of the tower there is the little square which is the core of the village. Here there are bars, restaurants, little shops and all the summer events take place.
Torre Pali, which is part of the town Salve, is about 15 km north of Santa Maria di Leuca and 30 km south of Gallipoli. It is he ideal destination for families, thanks to the houses which rises very close to beach and also for diving lovers thanks to its beautiful sea bed.
The beach of Torre Pali is all sandy and in part in the urban area, with houses with direct access to the beach. The beach is free, even if there bars where you can rent sun umbrellas and beds. Here there is also a little harbour where you can buy fresh fish every morning. Going south out of the urban area, between Torre Pali and Pescoluse, you will find the place well know with name of “Maldives of Salento” with the most spectacular beaches and big bath establishments.
